This superb ‘avenue’ lines in a curve the San Marco basin. This dock has been there since the 13^th century. 

Its name comes from the Dalmatians tradesmen (Schiavoni) who used to park their boats here.

The San Giorgio dei Greci orthodox church’s bell tower competes with Pisa’s tower.
