Church of San Giovanni in Bragora
According
to the legend, this church was built in the 8th century. Have
a look at the ceiling which has the shape of a hull, as well the frescos
from the 15th cenutry on the walls of the nave. Works by
Alvise, Vivarini, Cima da Conegliano (Christ’s baptism) and Palma the
Young are kept there, together with Vivaldi’s baptism certificate. He
was born in on the houses on the campo.
